A bill, which appeared
just two weeks ago, increases vaccine requirements
for children and adults.
In summary:
This bill would add more shots (including
flu shots!) to the vac schedule for adults and
children. It boils down to the opposite of what
we hope to accomplish with the Philosophical Exemption
Bill.
- The introduction
of this bill is a direct pushback from the pharmaceutical
lobby to weaken support for the Philosophical Exemption
Bill.
- The
passing of this bill would be a major setback
for a parent's rights to choose.

A5468, the "Philosophical Exemption to Refuse

- Ask family and friends to do the same.
Additional action needed:
We have been STRONGLY advised by several Assembly
members to visit Albany with a large group, matching
t-shirts and all, before the end of the session to
stop this bill in it's tracks.
- This bill has the potential
to become law by end of session, June 25.
- The pharmaceutical companies
have a very powerful lobby and they can get this
done unless we make it clear that it is unacceptable.
